So what we wanna what we want to talk about, speak about this morning, hallelujah, is very vital to our uh is very vital to our walk with Christ because uh the Bible gives us processes and procedures that we must take part in so that we're able to be developed in the spirit, right? If you're in the body of Christ, if you accept Jesus as your personal savior, then in that seed that was sown in us at that time is really everything that we need. And so what we have to do is uh get into the word and cause that seed to be developed, right? It's a spiritual seed, it's not a natural seed, it's a supernatural seed that placed down on the inside of us. So uh we want to develop that. We have to develop one of the problems that Adam and Eve had is that both, as we would read the scripture, they were born physically grown. And so God was trying to take the time to develop them in what he had given them, right? But before that full development, spiritual development could take place, uh something catastrophic happened. Right? Right, and so God didn't let them begin to just walk out, right? He when he was coming to speak to them or talk to them in the cool of the day, he was giving knowledge and understanding to them. They just weren't sitting down, sipping on tea, you know, plucking grapes out of the garden and eating them. But he was instructing them, and then he gave Adam a task, name everything. Right? Because he was what? Developing Adam in his spirit, man. He was a spirit, but he had to be developed in it to walk in it. You can be a good singer, but there's still some development that has to take place. You could be called a prophesy, but there's still some development in prophecy that you have to have, and that's required that I spend some time with the Lord, right? And so when we look at scripture and we we come into the body body of Christ, one of the things that the scripture lets us know is that uh Paul tells us is that we have to get developed in Him, in the Word, in the scripture that we hear. So uh I've I've titled this, you can give it a different title, A Renewed Mind. A renewed mind. It becomes virtually impossible to fulfill the purpose of God in your life without the mind being renewed into the things of God. What is called, if it's not renewed in the things of God, that's where religion kicks in. Because now religion is simply, in my small saying, religion is simply man trying to do the work of God without God. Man trying to do the work of God without God's input, without God's ways, without God opera of the way God wants things to be operating. So it now becomes religion. And so, since it became religion, man has to now come up with other strategies and other tactics that he or she has to use to get people now to come into what they have. Coercion and methods that are unscriptural, right? For God to use. And so God wants every believer to be able to use and to walk in love. We were talking about that. I almost almost switched the sermon, amen, and just want to talk about love because it's important that I understand how much he loves me, and it's important that I uh I believe the love that he has for me, right? If I don't want, if I don't if I've got those things kind of messed up or mixed up, life is gonna happen just because you get saved. I know they told you everything gonna be all right when you got saved. Huh? Huh? Right? I I know they might have told you that, but everything is alright, right? But the enemy now, uh, how you say you have a target or marker on you now. So I want to go and look at Hebrew, uh, excuse me, look in Romans the 12th chapter. This is the first place we will start, amen, with scripture. I'm gonna kind of take my time. Glory to God, glory to God, hallelujah. Romans 12, 1 and 2. Uh, and we're gonna look at those because it is clear in these scriptures that when the believer accepts Christ, they must be transformed. And so Paul writes here, he says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your body, your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Now, y'all know we've looked at this scripture before, so I'm gonna say this again. This scripture is a first time. This is the first time anybody ever heard of a living sacrifice. Old Testament, all sacrifices died. So when when when when the writer writes this scripture, he's saying something that when people look at it that are familiar with sacrifices and different things of that nature happening, they're looking at this and saying, What? Living sacrifice, living? No, no, no. That that didn't compute with some of their minds because many of them knew what happened to sacrifice. Sometimes when we understand it, why we don't want be a sacrifice, but he says that we are a living sacrifice, right? He says that we are holy and acceptable unto God, meaning that God does not disapprove us, which is our reasonable service. And so when we understand that now, if my if my mindset is somewhere in the area of uh uh of thinking in the old way, I will never be able to pull out what God wants out of me through what he has done in me by his spirit. And so I want to become a living sacrifice, right? And I want to become a sacrifice that he says that is acceptable unto God. My life has to become that, and so this means when he gives this scripture, the next scripture, verse two, because he's already said that, now he says this because it's necessary to say this, because the reason why is because he has to now already let us know what most of us had prior to coming to him. He said, and be not conform where to this world. If he's telling me, be not conform, then that probably means I'm already conform to some ways of thinking, some insights, some strategies of this world system. So he's telling me now, and be not conformed to this world, he's telling me because he already knows I am conform to something in some kind of way. But then he says, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. So transformation uh is a spiritual concept that every believer has to actively get involved in in order to renew their mind. God understands that God wants us, our minds to be uh renewed into his ways, his concepts, and his ideas. That's what he wants our mind to be. That means that I'm going to be kicked out. That means that there are things that are not like him are gonna be kicked out, they're gonna be put to the side, right? Because you have to remember, God never wants us to suppress. But he understands that if I renew my mind, all my bad behavior through renewing of the mind will go away. So he wants me to take the word to renew my way of thinking so that all my bad behavior, some of us hold on to bad behaviors a long time because we don't take the word of God and renew our mind, and so that behavior stays in there. But we have to understand that the word of God is right, the word of God is perfect, and the word of God will do what God said the word won't do. But if I won't renew my mind, something I want to get rid of can hang around a long time. If I have bad ideas and bad concepts of God, I'll say God doing stuff that God didn't do, right? And then then then us as as believers and just as people in general, uh, we we despise sometimes the word responsibility. We want God to come in and do everything. There's some strategies and some tactics that God does, but there's some strategies and tactics that he says I have to do. Huh? That I have to do. But if I if I shine responsibility, I want to blame everything on God. Well, that's not new. That's what that's what Adam did with Eve. He blamed it on Eve, that woman you gave me. And we see now that spirit is still operating because Adam didn't want to take responsibility for what he had done because he knew what God had told him. Is it all right in here? Y'all all right? All right, all right, and so he says, be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may be able to prove something, right? Prove what is that good and acceptable and the perfect will of God. Now you're not trying to prove to God, we're really proving to ourselves that that is good, that that is good. I'm taking on the word of God and I'm agreeing with the word of God. That that is acceptable now is meaning I'm walking in that that is good. I haven't aborted the good that I the word that I know acceptable now because I'm learning how to walk in it. Right? And then when he talks about perfect, he's saying, right, I'm perfectly positioned and walking in the thing that he has, and my relationship with him of the Holy Spirit that's in me is what's leading me and guiding me and bringing me into the perfect will of God. And every individual, every believer has to prove this out. This is all part of mind transformation. To be transformed is to come or to be something that you were not before. Huh? Now I have to be willing, it's work. In many cases, it's hard work when things are have been sewn down on the inside of me, right? My soul uh has been attacked, and the soul was never meant to experience some of the life-staking or life-damaging things that happen to the soul, right? And you understand when we when we say soul, we're talking about your mind, your will, your imaginations, your emotions. And what happened with Adam is Adam fell into a conscious mind, operating. That's why in Hebrews he said that that you your heart be sprinkled, right? Your conscious mind is sprinkled with the blood of Jesus. Because operating from that perspective, uh, when we don't operate from the perspective of God, cause things that we want to show up slowly. So I have to come into God's perfect will, right? God's perfect concepts and ideas of what he has for me in my life. We have to have the rel the reality of our spiritual nature. If my if more of my focus is on my natural nature, then that's what I'll walk out in my life, those things that are natural. And I won't experience a whole lot of spiritual because I have chosen now, even in Christ, to walk in the natural. Okay, okay, okay. I'll I'll be here when you when you when you bring yourself back around, right? So he never violates that. Our spiritual nature is more real than our natural way of thinking or the sense world. The reason why we know it's more real because we know that this natural life is not permanent, right? But the spiritual life is eternal, spiritually dead with the devil or spiritually alive with God. Either way, you get to go one of the places, spiritually and soulless. Right? So this lets us know that our spirit life is more important than our natural life, right? Right, because he that does uh he that dies naturally, if he does not or she does not know God before natural death, will not go to heaven. Or maybe let me say it this way. He that's or she or we I can't use we because they include me. All right, so so so can't I can't use that. Can you use that? All right, okay, so if they right, we use that day word, people say who is they, right? If they are not in heaven prior to natural death, they will not be in heaven after natural death. If they are not in heaven, see the Bible said that the believer is already seated together with the Father in heavenly places. He said we are we're already there, right? So if I uh am not in heaven, as I stand here and preach and I fall over and die, I won't be in heaven. That's how you know that spiritual death or uh uh uh uh uh spiritual life living is more important than natural life, right? Because your spirit life determines where you go when you leave here and hallelujah, and all of us get to leave, right? All of us get to determine where we go when we leave. Oh, glory to God. All right, all right, let me leave. Let me let me move away from there. All right, so so then uh we the the the spirit, and that's why you have to you have to really pay attention to your spiritual life because sometimes we have more soulish life, we have more soulish life. Soul, the soul. I'm trying to please the soul, I'm trying to please my feeling, I'm trying to do this, I'm trying to, and it's all soulish. And Solomon, Solomon said that you know, I all this stuff is done. I've had all the money, I've had all the women, I done had, I done built a temple, I done done all this, I done done everything you can do with the soulish and materialistic of the world. And then he came back at the end and he said it's all vanity. It's all vanity. He realized that it's all vanity, it's all vain. And then the scripture said that this life that we have, he said we appear on the scene for such a as we say we're like a vapor. Our lifespan, 120 years in eternity, barely, if it even makes a speck. But it is our spiritual life that goes on and lives forever. We live forever with God. Oh go, that's a that's a that's a that's somewhere you can throw your hand up and say, hallelujah. We live, we live, we live, we live forever with God. This is why you have you want to learn how we want to learn how now to start paying more attention to spiritual things, right? We want to learn how now to start dealing with our soulish way of thinking, and I want to think biblical. That's why I need to study so I can I can I can measure what's coming to my head by scripture because some stuff comes into my head I like to do, but when I measure it by scripture, I can't do it. Huh? Huh? The Bible says that Satan is the prince and the power of the air. What does that mean? That means he has the ability to give thought, right? And every thought that I have or you have, every thought is looking to be born. Every thought is looking to be born. That's not a thought of God, he's strategic in what he does. Satan is strategic. So when he plants a thought, when he plants a seed, he wants to keep feeding that seed. Just like when the seed of Christ is planted with us in us, we want to keep seeing that, feeding that seed. So whatever your thoughts are, your dominant thoughts, my dominant thoughts, our dominant thoughts is what's going to run our life. Amen. You can look back at your life and you can see the dominant thoughts, you can see the thoughts and things that happen, and then you can you can probably, I know I can't, I can I can probably see a stem, those things that are not not so good, and then those things that are good because of thought patterns. And if I don't deal with my thought patterns, I don't deal with the stuff that I'm I'm allowing to come in. If I don't deal, or uh if I don't know how to cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalted itself against God. If I think that uh uh uh I got Jesus, but I need something else, I need a bottle, I need a joint, I need a pill. That means your thought pattern opposes God, and it opposes the word of God, so the Bible says that when Jesus was going away, he said, I'm gonna leave you a comforter. The comforter that's in me is the Holy Spirit, right? He is alive and well and in me, and he's over, he's able now to handle anything that comes in my anything that comes in. He's able to put it out if I can if I can understand how the principles of the kingdom work. Glory to God, hallelujah. The mind, ah, thank you, Jesus. The mind is the gatekeeper of your life, right? It gives access to the whole body. What comes in the mind gives get access. Let me go back a little bit. What comes in the mind, give access to the whole body if I don't disallow it. It gives access to the whole body, the thinking and decision making, the mind is the thinking and decision making apparatus of the entire body. Right? What the mind wills or believes, if you're not careful, it will take place. See, people believe a lot of things, and and you have to listen. That scripture and see that what you believe, what what what you believe, and and your internal spiritually, that this body is actually ground. That's why whatever you put in your body, it can grow. If you don't cut off thought patterns that are outside the word of God, it can grow. And anything that grows has a birth. Or anything that grows produces a manifestation of something. Whatever it is. Every seed brings forth after its own kind. Right? And so when I am when I am in this process of renewing my mind, uh the mind must be renewed in the word of God to function in the spirit of God and in faith effectively. There's no other option. I know there's a lot of gods in this world. Uh people say about God's different and the other, but there's only one way, according to scripture, in the Bible, in our governmental system that we read. There's only one way. You can try all the other ways, but there's only one way. Right? There's only one way to God. So this Bible is our governmental system. God's function in the spirit, in the spirit of God and his faith. It's the way God has said for us to function. And now, so we have to renew our minds to the word of God and to faith in God. Right? And no matter what stage you're at, you're always in a position to renew your mind. It's a never-ending uh process that we go through. Wherever you're at, we're in a position to uh uh uh renew our mind. Let's look at Joshua 1 and 8 real quick. Glory to God. Joshua 1 and 8, uh, real quick. And I know we were very familiar with that, uh, with that scripture, uh Joshua 1 and 8, but we're just gonna go there briefly. This book of the law shall not depart out of your thy mouth. He's saying this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth. That means you have to keep this book in your mouth because what's in your mouth is being fed to your heart. And if this word doesn't get in your heart, the the mouth is the process by which I by which I use to sow or to or to grow something that's in my heart. So he said, This book of the law shall not depart from thy mouth. Do you notice in Mark 11 and 23 that he has that is in there one time believe, but three times he says say? Mark 11, 23. He says, say, and then we find this over in the old testament. He says that uh that whosoever shall say, well, we didn't want to go there, go back to that other one. Well, he fast back then. Oh back to Joshua 1 and 8 for a minute. Amen. Glory to God. He switched on me already. All right, this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, meaning that out of my mouth I should not be saying anything that's in the law of the word of God. If it's outside of the law, I shouldn't be saying it because he said this book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth. Well, you got to get it in your mouth first, but thou shalt meditate therein. That's how you that's how you get the renewing of the mind process to happening by meditation. See, focus is not just the word, focus is a mandate. Focus is a mandate, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. So he said, everything that you know, Joshua. From this point of Joshua, he was coming from the the the the uh the Pentateuch, the five, the first five books of the Bible, right? And he said that you should meditate in this law, right? Both they observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then thou shalt, for then that means when we have for then, that means something prior to for then has to take place, and sometimes we trying to jump to then sometimes we trying to jump all the way to for then. Oh, yeah, well, the word says that I shall make my way prosperous and then I shall have good success. But what did he say before that? Huh? What did he say before that? And then when God don't bring it to pass, we mad. That's why you have to understand process, right? This book of the Lord He says shall not depart out of your mouth. Well, have the book of the law parted out of your mouth, but thou shalt meditate. Have you meditated, have you focused, spend some time with the Lord, have you developed an intimate relationship with him? Because until that happened, the for the for then won't work for you. Just trying to help myself and help somebody else this morning. But then thou shalt make thy way prosperous. He didn't say God wouldn't make it, he said for you and I, uses, right? Shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Huh? So when I'm reading and I'm looking at the scripture, I don't want to just jump and folk just come sometimes, just quote the end of stuff, but the good part. You know, when I was out in the world and you say that song, we were gonna get to the good part. Get down to the good part. Well, you can't get to the good part until you have done the thing that you might consider not so comely, it's not so shiny because it's it's working on the ideas, it's working on concepts, it's working on strategies, it's working on thoughts in my mind. Some of them I like. And he's saying you got to get rid of that talking about the renewing of the mind, right? When I want to walk in the things of God and when I want to believe, and then he says that uh for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have what? Sometimes we jump to the for then, and what the for then means is that I just want the face of God, or I want the hand of God, but I've avoided operating in the face of God, huh? Huh? So I want to, I wanna, I wanna I want to keep the scripture line by line, precept by precept, concept by concept, here a little, there a little. When I go back and I see something ain't working, it must be it ain't God, it must be something I ain't doing right. Boy, we don't want to say we ain't doing right. Oh uh uh no, that just hurt us to our heart. Glory to God. All right, let's get next week. We're gonna we're gonna run on just a little while longer here. Let's look at Proverbs verse 4, chapter 4, and verse 20. 20 through 23. Now, in the renewing of the mind, the renewing of the mind also brings uh the thought process and the working of things, it also brings it to finalization. And when I say finalization, I learn through hearing and reading the word that I must make the word final place in my life. I might look at it some other things, I might hear some other things, but when it comes down where the rebel meets the road, the word of God has to be first place in my life. It can't be second place, it can't be third place, it has to be first place. So here, uh uh in Proverbs uh Solomon, he he writes, he said, My son. Good to be called a son. He said, Attend to my words. Attend to my words means give them place. Don't just write them off. Don't don't just don't just say, Oh, well, that ain't for me. Let me just go ahead and skip over that. I'm gonna I need to get to the part that I know for me. That's the problem. You've been getting to the part that you know for you. I've been getting to the part that I know for me, is skipping the parts that are gonna help me. My son, attend to my words, incline, incline, uh, can be defined as lean over, bend over to go out your way. Ah, incline thine ear unto my sayings. Next verse. Let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in the midst of thy heart. Don't let them get on the outside of your heart, keep it right there in the center. Because in the center of your heart, they'll govern things. You let it get on the outside, might slip away. That's why David said I almost slipped. Because he let it got, he he let it, he let it got too close to the edge. You know, y'all remember y'all remember the story about about the the lady with the little boy, right? Amen. Yeah, the little boy, she was it was getting to be bedtime. He had school in the morning, so she told him to go get in the bed. And he went and got in the bed, she said, brush your teeth, and all that good stuff you do. And he got in the bed and he was in there, and he had gotten to bed and and uh and uh got in the bed, and she said, Say your prayers, and he said his prayers, and and got into bed, and about uh about 20, about 20, 25 minutes later, the mom heard this big thump on the floor, right? And she said, We supposed to be asleep. What's going on? And so when he she went back there and uh see what's going on, and she flipped on the light, he was climbing himself, he was picking himself up off the floor, and uh she asked him, Say, son, what happened? He said, Well, Ma, I guess I slept too close to the edge. See, and you have to be careful about sleeping too close to the edge. You have to be you have to be uh uh careful about uh thinking about how much sin I can do, or how close can I get to sin? Because you might fall off the edge, and God will come and get you, but it was a fall you didn't have to take. Glory to God. He said, Let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in the midst of thy heart. Next scripture, glory to God, keep them there, for they are life unto those that find them. He's talking life. He said they are life, in other words, it's just not gonna jump, jump. You're just not gonna be walking down the street and it jumped from around the corner, right? He said, For they are life to those that find the woman uh with the coin, and and uh uh the woman with the coin. She she had to pursue. Uh, what is it? A coin? She what was a what was it? Some jewelry, lost coin, the prodigal son, the lost son. The woman had to pursue that idol, she had to find it. It didn't just jump out to her, but she searched and she found that that was valuable to her, and then he says he brings health to all their flesh. That is the word of God. The word of God is a medicine to my flesh. And sometimes we're looking for healing, but we ain't never got in the scripture to find out what the medicine is. We ain't never took the time to find some of those healing scriptures and uh and and speak them and say them and let them get down on in on the inside of us. We ain't taken the time, we just want the laying on of a hand. See? But you have to take the time, right? In scripture to get these scriptures in your heart. Get the scriptures in the heart, and once you get something in your heart, that's why faith originates out of the heart. Because once faith is in the heart, faith will go out and produce and bring forth what's supposed to, whatever it is. The scripture says that we say, Love the Lord thy God. And if they had to measure, if they had to measure the degree that we love by how much of the Bible is actually walked out in our lives. I better leave that right there. I still want, still want people to come back next Sunday. Glory to God. But that's renewing of the mind process, right? The new the renewing of the mind. He don't he don't just go out there every year. He has to plow that ground. He don't have he don't just go, oh yeah, it was plowed last year. He don't just go out there and start selling seed. He got to plow that ground every year. He got to till it, he got to ply it, he got, he got to work it up, he gotta, he gotta pull some weeds, he gotta, he gotta. And that's what the word does in us when the word gets down in there. That word is that word will study, pluck up seed. I know you may have been round with the Lord for a little bit, but but uh uh uh you ever look back and you say, Oh, wait a minute, I hadn't had that. I thought that I ain't cursed nobody out in four months, yeah. The Holy Spirit bring that to you. Let you know that the word done rooted that up out of you. I don't even want to curse them. Somebody say something to you, and you be like, Okay, okay, okay. And you get home and you think about well, six months ago I would have cursed them out. But the word got down in and rooted stuff out. See, the believer is never supposed to suppress. I think suppression is one of the reasons why there's a lot of anxiety. Oh, glory to God. I shouldn't get over there. Get on over there, Holy Spirit. Get on over there. Yeah, that's why there's a lot of suppression, I mean a lot of anxiety and oppression and stuff like that. Because people trying to suppress stuff, and the soul was not meant to do that, and the soul gets damaged, it gets tried, it gets messed up, it gets twisted. Because why? As a believer, I'm gonna take this word of God. I got this, I got this little thing going on. You don't want to tell no, I got this little thing going on, and I'm gonna get over there in the scripture, and I'm gonna get them scriptures, and I'm gonna start quoting them scriptures, and I'm believing them scriptures, and that next stuff's gonna come out of me. That's where you get it out, that's where you get out anger, or being or or acting out anger. Bible says you can get angry if you don't sin, but that's how you get to the point where you ain't gotta act it out. See, because you have to have the word in you, right? And that and that word, the word just can't be in you, the word has to be alive. This is transformation. Transformation is not because I know a lot of scriptures, and I come to church on Sunday, and I come to Bible study, and I sing on a praise team, and I dance, and I play the drums and the keyboard. That's not transformation. Transformation is when I can live by the word of God, and and the fruit of the spirit are manifesting in my life. That's transformation. And we won't look at our talents, our skills. A drunk can prophesy if he's called to do it. And you hide on prophecy. A drunk can preach on the street, he called to be a pastor, he can preach on the street drunk. But it's not, it's not what God looking for to fulfill the call, because he knows you can fulfill the call. Because that's without not that's without repentance. But what he wants to know is can you transform your soul to think like me, to act like me, to say what I say, and to do what I do. He does need it me to perform and that he's called me to do. But he wants my mind to be renewed. And if my mind is not renewed, then the really spiritual gifting uh won't work through me, and they might even work through from a wicked perspective because the enemy will get in there. Oh, glory to God. I better lead it. I gotta run along. Glory to God, the renewed mind, the renewed mind in Christ Jesus. Because the world is supposed to know and recognize the church, it recognized the church, and to the and to the degree, and some degree, maybe a higher degree, than I know the church is. But boy, if we could all come together in renewed minds, if we could put down some of the stuff we I can't go with you because you you call yourself that, and I can't go with you because you call yourself that, if we could remove them lines and walk in love toward one another, the church, the world, the global system will have to recognize the church. Because the church, the body of Christ, the ecclesia, is the only agency and the most powerful agency that has on the earth. I don't care how many missiles America could release, right? I don't, I don't, but but they can America could release, but God is able to stop every one of them or cancel the equipment so it can't do what he wants to do. See, see how God is a powerful God. Sometimes we can act like he kind of wimpy. Huh? He's a powerful God, but but the believer walking in a renewed mind is able to access his powerful because his mind is renewed, and an unrenewed mind uh causes uh a lack of development spiritually so that I can't release what I need to release. Glory to God, hallelujah. Glory to God. Y'all doing all right, huh? Huh? Glory to God, glory to God, hallelujah. This is how this is how I rise up. Ah, glory to God. Uh, those that were here for prayer, he just went this Holy Spirit just ran this across me. But those that was here for prayer on Thursday, the Lord said to us, He said, There is an open door. Over in Ephesians, uh, excuse me, not in free, but in Revelations 3 and 8, 7 and 8, 9, or about 15, about uh 7 through 15, something like that. But he said that that was an open door, right? Revelation, the church of Philadelphia was the only church that he he he said, you have little strength. But he said, You have little strength, but having little strength is not a sin. But he said, the most powerful things he said, that you have kept my name and you have kept my word. Right? And in the renewed mind perspective, is that God saying now, I'ma open the door. It's gonna be an open door that's gonna be open. I think the door is already open. Huh? I think the door is already open. But the issue is can I see it? That's not the issue. See, healing is available. The issue is can I can I and do I have the ability to access it? Much of what we're dealing with today is not really because God is withholding, but God has process by way the believer has to come through. It can't be avoided. It can't be avoided. And a lot of times, as the scripture says, we're trying to go to the for then. For then thou shalt have. Huh? But we forgot about everything before. Right? And our plan and our mission is to fulfill what we want to do. Right? Humility is the ability to see what the word says, regardless of my feelings and my emotions, I bow down and I surrender to what the word says. That's humility. Humility is not godly humility. It's not about you being nice. It's good to be nice. It's good to be respectful. But biblical humility means that if you never come under the word, if the word says this and you I don't want to do that, then that means you didn't show humility to the word. That means that at some point the renewing of the mind process has been stalled, at least in that area. It's been hindered. Because God never does anything without purpose or the reason. Then you can look at it from this perspective. He never asked me to do anything that'll hurt me. Everything he does, he wants to bring it to my good. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. All right. Proverbs three and seven. Let's look there real quickly. And then uh we'll see what the Lord said. We might be able to close. Y'all doing all right. Y'all seem like y'all doing all right. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank you, Jesus. Proverbs 23 and 7. He says, Be not wise in thy own eyes. Ah, this is a good one, ain't it? Be not wise in thy own eyes, fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Is that 23 and 7? 20. I'm sorry, 23 and 7. Yeah, that was good too. Amen. 23 and 7. For as he thinketh in his heart. This means now I have the idea, I have to identify what I'm thinking in my heart. And there have been many times since I've been in this Christian walk, I've had to, I had to uh cause myself not to tell me what I think in my heart, but to let the Holy Spirit tell me what I think in my heart. Because sometimes, depending on where you lean, your heart will tell you what you want to hear. Huh? Huh? This is why Jesus said, Jesus said, I have no intent of my own. Because most of us, if not all of us, at points in our lives have our own intents. And it does not mean that our own intent is bad, but it does mean I have to acknowledge that I do have an intent. Then I want to see if that intent will line up. He said, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. This word thinketh or thinks in some version, it does not mean in this context, it does not mean that it is I'm in the process of thinking about something. Because he says thinking. So what he's saying here is for as a man already has conformed to thinking, it means it's thinking that has already been processed. It means that now I'm living by this thinking that I have. And some information that is concrete already on the inside of us. I already know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna knock them in the head. That's that's already thinking that's formed. This was this is what's gonna happen. That's already thinking that's formed. And you have the knowledge. And through that thinking, when other things come in, they're being processed through that filter. Y'all get me? Y'all get me. Everything about me is connected, and that's why he says, I have to renew my mind because I have to get bad stuff, bad thinking, speaking, thinking, and godly thinking in my mind, in my soul, being transformed into the likeness and into the image of Christ. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Thinks in his heart is not something he is thinking about, it is what he has already, what has already been processed, and everything he does, she does, is being processed or filtered through what he already thinks. Renewing the mind requires that a person repents. Renewing the mind requires that a person repents or turn away from old way of thinking and hears and embraces the new information that produces faith. Romans 10 and 17. Right? Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God that He embraces new information. Some people say, I don't believe that about the Bible. Well, if you don't believe it about the Bible, you don't never have to worry about walking in it. You don't have to worry about it, don't worry about walking in it. If you don't believe that God can prosper you, then you don't have to worry about walking in it. Because your unbelief just forfeited it for you. Glory to God. Anything that the Bible says that I decide I don't believe, it just forfeited the things that that can bring in my life. God didn't forfeit it, you forfeited it, I forfeited it. You see, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. So if you have adapted life experiences for you to go by and for you to live by, and now you want to bring those things over into the kingdom and think God's gonna use them, you're gonna be sadly mistaken. And you might be sadly disappointed. But God won't change his standards, his rules, his laws, his strategies, his concept because I disagree with him. I think he ought to do it another way. Glory to God. I think he ought to do it another way. Well, I'll imagine if I was God, I will say, who cares what you think? Glory to God. And so uh he says Romans 10 and 17, glory to God, hallelujah. Okay, okay, we're gonna hit this, we're gonna hit this next scripture, and then I'm gonna I'm gonna, I think, I think I'll be able to bring it to a close. Uh turn away from the old way of thinking and hears and embraces uh new information. The Bible lets us know that we need information, we need the right information. He said, My people, they perish because lack of information. And then it really gets it really gets worse because don't find yourself in this position. He said, but but they have rejected my words. They didn't only, they wasn't ignorant, some of us ain't ignorant of God's word, but they took the stance to reject his word. Who am I to reject the God who created the universe and come up with some other kind of concept? Knowing we might not know that, but who am I to reject it? And we got people bold nowadays. Who am I to reject? Who who makes you God? Bishop Ivy Hilliard said this many years ago because people were talking about the word of God, and people talking about God ain't real, and Bishop Hilliard had experienced the move of God in his life, and so he made this statement. He said, Until you create a universe, make a world and make a man, he said, I can't listen to you until you create a universe, make a mer, make a world, create a man and place him in the garden. He said, Ain't nothing you can say could register to me. We don't know nobody else. I don't know nobody. You know somebody else? No, nobody. I don't know nobody else that done that. Nobody, I don't know nobody to come close to doing it. I don't even know nobody that's trying to do it. And me and my little infight thinking wanna defy what he says. Oh boy, you better be careful. First Corinthians 2 and 16. Glory to God. I'm helping myself. 1 Corinthians 2 and 16. For who has known the mind of the Lord that we may instruct him? Huh? Which which one of us are able to tell God what to do? Job got on that side of God. And God said, Where were you when I formed the pillars and the foundational pillars in there? Where were you? That you, that I have the audacity, the unmitigated gall to try to instruct God and questioning him in a way as though he don't know what he's doing. Glory to God. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But then he goes on to say, and that question mark will always remain there because nobody can answer. Can't nobody answer. So it always be in there. You get a Bible and that question mark was in there. Uh hopefully they used it too long. You can take that Bible back. Take it back. All right. But we have the mind of Christ. And through the death, burial, resurrection, and final ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he says that He has given us now the ability to operate in the same concepts, procedures, strategies that Jesus operated in. I know it might roll over somebody because uh uh, you know, but Jesus said, Greater works shall we do, right? But I have to have his mind to do it. My mind won't cut it, but the use of scriptures in his mind will cut it, will get the job done. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have point at yourself and say, I have the mind of Christ, I have the mind of Christ. Look at your neighbor, it said, Neighbor, you have the mind of Christ, neighbor, you have the mind of Christ. Hallelujah. And that's what I'm going for, that's what I'm looking for in my life is his mind. I'm looking for I'm looking for his mind to show up in up here in my thinking or in here, my innermost being. I'm looking for his mind to show up. That's what I want. And when I start seeing little pieces, sometimes it comes, it comes gradually, but over time you ought to be see, you ought to be able to see some little pieces of his mind showing up. Huh? Some little pieces of his way showing up. And then over time, little pieces become big pieces of his mind showing up in his life. And over time and over your lifespan, you see that your mind now has changed and developed and to think just like he. Repent is not just a word that we use when we done wrong, right? Repent, uh Mantineo, that prefix on that re and then pent, pent, you know, is the penthouse. And so when I repent, I return back to the top. I return back to the top when I repent. So sometimes I'm reading scripture and I see something in scripture, and my thinking is off in that area, and I get a revelation, and I say, Oh, okay, okay, Lord, I kind of had a bit of revelation on that. I repent from that revelation, from that thinking that I had, even though it was biblically there, but from that thinking that I have, I mean, he gave me a revelation. Now I say, Lord, I thank you that you gave me more insight. And now I return or I go to begin to operate in this new insight that he gave. Repent is one of the best words in the Bible. Yes, yes, and we've made we've really the church has made repent so bad, it's a bad thing. But repent, man, sometimes I've probably redone more repent when I read in scriptures than I did more repenting of actions of sin. See, but we've made it, but sometimes we are we we back off, we are oh repent. Be thankful that you can. Repent. Be thankful that you can. And every time you get the opportunity, do it. Get into bed at night, Lord. I repent for anything I might have done. Something I might have might have said. Sometimes I know it's some stuff I done. Lord, I thank you. And be thankful for the Lord.
